With more than 3,700,000 Internet searches, the Ford Mustang is America's classic car enthusiast. In second place is the Chevrolet Impala.
Curious is this information that comes to us from ClassicCars.com, one of the reference websites for classic vehicles in the US – it has a database with more than 30,000 vehicles for sale. The site has revealed which is the most sought after classic car in each of the North American states.
It is the largest online portal that brings together collector cars in the world, which is why it is a reference for the classics sector and allows us to get a fairly accurate idea of which historic vehicles are preferred by Americans. It has 330,000 searches per day and has 3 million unique visitors.
In second place as the preferred vehicle in seven states is the Chevrolet Impala, followed by the Camaro in five and by the Corvettes, Dodge Charger – this one possibly due to its appearance in Fast & Furious 8 – and Ford Thunderbird, all of them with three.
This ClassicCars.com listing also provides some curious data such as that only one non-American brand appears. It is Mercedes-Benz that stands out in the State of Connecticut.
Another type of vehicle also sought after, as it could not be otherwise, are pick-ups, very popular in West Virginia –the favorite is the Chevrolet 3100– and Oklahoma –Ford F1–.
